The Washington Redskins made their first visit to Baltimore in 2016, but the team didn’t have much to show for it.
The team was a season away from competing in the Super Bowl and needed a win over a very bad Ravens team.
They had a solid win over the Titans in Week 10, but that was after a brutal Week 14 loss to the Raiders.
The Redskins were just getting started, though, as they beat the Browns in Week 14, then won a home game against the Bears in Week 15.
They got their first win over an opponent from their own division at home against the Saints in Week 17.
The Ravens, meanwhile, were just looking to get back to the Superbowl, which was their goal.
They lost their next two games to start the season, and then they lost the first three games of the season to fall to 0-6.
Washington finished the season with just nine wins, and had to start from scratch in 2017.
They won just three of their next eight games, and didn’t look back.
“I don’t think we knew what we were getting ourselves into,” Washington coach Jay Gruden said.
“It was like the beginning of the end.”
It wasn’t long after the Redskins first win that they were starting to show that they could be good.
They started to win their first two games, too, but then a week later, they lost a game to the Packers in which they were tied at 15-15.
After a win at the Rams, they went up 6-0 and had the ball in their own end zone for the first time.
Then they beat Cincinnati and the Bengals again, and they went into overtime at Pittsburgh.
In the second overtime, they were up 19-17, and the Steelers were up 21-17.
But the Bengals scored two touchdowns in the last minute to tie it up and win in overtime.
The Steelers were down 17-17 in the fourth quarter, and Washington was down 10-13.
With the win over Cincinnati, the Redskins moved into the NFC playoff picture.
They went on to lose three of four games in the first half of the year before winning two of those.
But after a Week 15 loss to New Orleans, Washington lost to the Steelers in Week 16.
As soon as Washington had the momentum, it was game over.
They went on a streak of four straight wins from Week 17 on, and got to 10-0 after that.
But that was the only game in which the team lost.
The Redskins started off 0-4 against NFC teams in the 2016 regular season.
Now, they have won five of six, including a 10-3 win over Atlanta in Week 2.
If they are going to have a chance to win the division, they will need a big win over another NFC team.
Last season, the Ravens were 3-3 when losing their first four games.
That included losing to Washington in Week 3.
This year, Baltimore was 1-6 in those games, which includes two losses to the 49ers and a tie against the Seahawks.
It will be interesting to see if the Redskins can continue that run against a Ravens team that is coming off a bye.
Bobby Wagner has a chance for the starting job again, but if the team does not find a way to win games, he will be their backup.
He is 5-2 as a starter in the NFL, but he has only been a starter six times in his career.
There will be a lot of turnover with the Redskins this season.
But it is not like they are rebuilding a roster to compete with the 49ERS.
Baltimore had the NFL’s most talented roster at the position last year.
It has two of the best wide receivers in the league, and a pair of defensive backs who can take over the game in their spots.
That doesn’t mean they can’t be competitive in this division.
What will be key for Washington is the quality of their quarterback play.
Joe Flacco has thrown for 3,942 yards and 28 touchdowns in his last five starts.
He has thrown 17 interceptions in his previous five starts, and he has thrown 10 touchdowns to just three interceptions in that span.
A team can be competitive with just one quarterback.
Ryan Tannehill was a very good quarterback last year, but a quarterback like Joe Flacco can still be effective, as he showed last year with the Titans.
I think they need to be better on defense.
One of the biggest issues that was a major issue for Washington last season was the lack of depth on defense, especially in the secondary.
Their defense was the worst in the NFC last year and has been the worst since.
Here are the three biggest holes that the Redskins need to address.
