By MELISSA MELTONSource Newsweek / 11 February 2018 05:38:50One thing Harley has done is take on some of the crazier things in Australian fashion: he’s been a big advocate of wearing strange outfits.
This year he teamed up with the new design house, Jigsaw, to produce the first collection in a collection called The Harley Collection.
The outfit is inspired by the original Harley Davidson and features a pair of white gloves with a red and black stripe pattern on them, a black and gold button-up shirt, and a pair ‘cuffs’ for the waist.
In keeping with the trend, the collection also features a number of accessories that would be appropriate for any Harley fan, like a leather backpack, a belt, and, most notably, a pair androgynous heels with a pair silver toe pads.
The look is reminiscent of the 1960s, when Harley was popular with the American press.
When the company was founded in 1959, the name was derived from the name of its famous “black and gold” colours, which were used on the cars and trucks that the brand was known for.
“I’m so proud of the look, I really am,” Harley said in a statement, adding that he’d love to wear it at the Oscars.
“But I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be one of those things that people are going to get tired of seeing me wear, so I’ll have to go to sleep now.”
The style is meant to reflect Harley’s love of the Harley Davidson, and it’s not the first time he’s made a statement about his love of cars.
In 2014, he tweeted a photo of himself with a black, gold and silver Ford GT in the same style.
“Love the Ford GT.
Love it so much, I’d drive it, I’m going to wear one tomorrow!” he wrote.”
Can’t wait to drive one in a Harley and Harley Davidson.
I love it sooo much.
Love the car.”
Harley Davidson is the first British brand to make a statement on the Harley brand since the 1970s.
The brand has a strong presence in Australia, with its cars being manufactured at the Holden plant in Melbourne, and there are a number in the US, as well as a handful of British cars, like the Range Rover Sport, which Harley owns.
In the statement, Harley added that his inspiration for the collection was inspired by his time in Japan, where he was a young man and his first love was the Japanese motorcycle scene.
“Harley was a boy, and I was a girl,” he said.
“I remember looking out at these beautiful motorcycles on the road, and just wanting to be a part of them, to be able to ride them, ride around them.”
It’s been such a thrill to get to do that, to do something I think everyone wants to do.
“I’ve loved motorcycles since I was about five, and the Harley has always been my favourite.
“This is one of the things I’m proudest of, it’s a really unusual look.
The look is very unique, it has this little bit of an ‘it’s not a motorcycle, it can’t be a motorcycle’ vibe, and that’s something that I think a lot of young people want to emulate.”
We look forward to seeing what he will come up with next. “
We are delighted to partner with JIGS on this unique collaboration with Harleys design team,” the spokesperson said.
